Our Story
Sensing it was time to start something new, Paul was driven to create a business that would strive for the highest quality in the care industry.
When people start to look for care at home for a loved one or for themselves they need clear and direct communications and a system which makes starting up a care package as simple and as straightforward as possible. People also need flexibility and choice, and they often need help as quickly as possible. This is the approach we’ve taken at Bluebird Care and it has proved to be a fundamental part of our success.
People are at the heart of any successful business, and Lisa wanted Bluebird Care to be the organisation that values the extraordinary work of all its staff.
The way we deliver care is critically important, and this is a very people oriented business. All staff need to bring a winning combination of the right character and attitude. We train, monitor and supervise our staff closely and effectively. What is important to me is that we will only deliver the level of care that we would expect for our own friends and relatives. That’s the standard we set for ourselves and deliver to our customers.
Our Commitment to you
Bluebird Care began as a small family business dedicated to providing high quality home care services.
Today we have grown to be the market leader across the UK. Our commitment to delivering the services you want, how you want them, in the comfort of your own home is stronger now than ever.
What makes our home care services different? Simply, that we put you, the customer first. Our aim is to provide the standard of care that we would want for our own families. This means valuing the unique qualities of each customer and seeing the whole person, not just a list of care needs.
Our services are flexible and respond to your changing priorities and needs. We work together with families to keep our customers in control of their own care as far as they are able. That’s why we always listen carefully to what you tell us about how you want to receive your care and support.
We keep in regular contact, so that you soon get to know the team at your local Bluebird Care UK office. Building a relationship that you can trust and rely upon is central to how we manage our business.
Our compliments concerns and complaints procedure
Bluebird Care UK welcomes all of your feedback because this helps us to improve our services. We have an open procedure for managing any concerns and complaints. All of our home care customers receive a copy of our procedure when the service starts. We want to make sure that that you are in no doubt about how to voice any concerns that may arise or to give us any positive feedback.
Confirming the quality of our home care service
The care supervisors from your local office will regularly check that you are satisfied with the services that you receive from us. We share this information with the national regulator for home care services. There is a national regulator in each of the four countries of the United Kingdom. These statutory bodies have responsibility for making sure home care services meet the requirements of the law and meet fundamental standards of quality and safety. Each regulator carries out periodic inspections to check our services. As part of these checks they may directly ask our customers for feedback.
We are also members of the United Kingdom Home Care Association, the organisation that helps home care agencies to achieve high standards of care and support.
